Sustaining Farmers is an agricultural consulting team, providing direct services to farmers and specializing in writing high-value USDA Value-Added Producer Grants (VAPGs).
Our team has written over 75 VAPGs and secured over $14 million in grant awards for farmer clients since 2009, winning 100% of grants written since 2013.
We work with many types of farms…
ranging in size from small to large-scale operations and cooperatives. Many farms we work with implement sustainable farming practices, some focus on local marketing, and others have national sales. Our past VAPG successes include projects designed with farmers who produce vegetables, grains, fruits, herbs, cheese, yogurt, ice cream, maple syrup, beef, pork, goat meat, chickens, eggs, pizzas, soups, and more.
